Today in the capital from 7.00 a.m., about 30 horsemen on horseback walked through the iconic places of the capital. This unusual performance was organized on the eve of the 5th World Nomad Games, the official website of the akimat reports.
Also, during the performance, you could see dogs of the Taza breed.
The participants of the performance gathered in the adjacent territory near the ice palace "Barys Arena" and then proceeded along the streets of Buhar Zhyrau, Turkistan, Orynbor, Akmeshit, Dostyk, Kabanbai Batyr Ave.
During the performance, the riders galloped past the small architectural forms that decorated the capital for the upcoming games and ended near the Ushkempirov Palace of Martial Arts.
Traffic along the entire route was temporarily blocked during the march.
One of the participants of the performance, Sagadat Temkenov, founder of the equestrian travelers club "Tengri Road", shared his impressions: "I popularize Kazakh traditions. One of them is my love for horses. I think that after this event I will go to the city on horseback more often. Today, our goal is to encourage Kazakhstanis to participate in the 5th World Nomad Games, which will showcase our culture, history and traditions. Thus, we show patriotism, support for athletes and love for the Motherland. In addition, this large-scale event will contribute to the development of Kazakhstani tourism. The ethno-cultural code is something that can really interest foreign tourists. And I think we need to take small and big steps in this direction."
Sagadat Temkenov handed over the baton of ethno performance to representatives of Zhambyl region with an appeal to organize a similar action in each region before the start of the games.
Recall that the 5th World Nomad Games will be held on September 8-13. It is expected that about 2000 participants from 89 countries of the world will take part in the event.
