There are 70 religious associations and branches operating in kordai district. Of these, 64 are mosques of the spiritual administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, 1 is the Russian Orthodox Church, and 5 are Protestant churches.
Sortobe, Masanchi, Aakatty, and Karasu rural districts are the most populous in kordai district. The total number of mosques visited by citizens in Dungan is 34 (in Sortobe – 13, in Masanchi – 12, in rich – 7, in Karasuda – 2). The number of mosques visited by Kazakhs is 28.
In order to constantly monitor the religious situation in all mosques of the District, video surveillance cameras have been installed and video recordings are being made.
Also, 53 of the mosques are heated by coal and the remaining 9 are heated by gas, and there are no mosques that need major repairs.
In general, 20% of mosque visitors are elderly, 35% are adults, and 45% are young people.
In total, there are 8 prayer houses in the district.
The number of priests in mosques in the district is 91, including 59 imams.
