At present, in the district, the coverage of citizens engaged in physical culture and sports is 32.4 percent, that is, 11,914 people, and the coverage of children and adolescents from 7-18 years of age involved in children's and youth sports schools, sports clubs from the total number of children and adolescents is 16.8 percent. Since the beginning of the year, more than 60 sports events have been held to develop mass sports. In particular, 46 regional, 14 regional, 1 republican and 1 international levels. More than 4 thousand people took part in these competitions. Today, there are 109 sports facilities in the region, of which 71 are in rural areas and 23 facilities are gyms in secondary schools. All sports facilities, with the exception of the indoor swimming pool, are free of charge. The indoor swimming pool is available for adults for a fee, for students of general education schools it is free, and for young people under 29 years old there is a 50% discount. And also in order to attract adolescents and children to engage in physical education in sports in the district children's and youth sports school there are sports sections in 6 sports, and in the district center for the development of mass sports in 11 sports. The schedule of sports sections covers children of the first and second shifts. Coaches of these institutions, in addition to children and young people, train with young people in the evening. For this purpose, the sports halls of secondary schools in the district during the extracurricular hours were distributed according to the schedule for certain days of the week among district institutions and responsible trainers were appointed. This year, 6 athletes from the regional youth sports school and the regional center for the development of mass sports became champions of the Republic, and 25 students became regional champions, and the youth football team became two-time regional champions. Along with this, our athlete won the 5th place at the Asian Cup in judo, as well as at the Asian Championship in kettlebell lifting held in the city of Khiva in the Republic of Uzbekistan, among the 14 republics of the Kazakhstan national team took the 1st place. In the national team of the republic 5 athletes from our region took part, and 4 of them took the first place. To date, 20 athletes of the regional center for the development of mass sports and 9 students of the regional sports school received the title of candidate for master of sports, and 1 student of the sports school won the title of master of sports in freestyle wrestling.
