Yard inspections of the housing sector

Employees of the Emergency Situations Department of Ulan district, together with the LEB, the local police service and volunteers, continue to bypass the private sector, aimed at educating the population on fire safety rules. Residents of the district have been informed of the basic requirements for the installation and use of furnace heating.

Since the beginning of the heating period, more than 10 thousand residential buildings have been surveyed, covering 30 thousand people with the distribution of proposal roots and memos on compliance with fire safety rules when using stoves, gas equipment, electric heaters.

The training of residents of the private sector is an important point in the prevention of fires, therefore, the staff of the DES will continue to work in this direction until the end of the heating period.

The DES of the Ulan district hopes that this will affect the operational situation with fires in the region and save human lives.

To prevent the occurrence of a fire during the heating period, please follow the simple rules:

- during the entire heating season, at least every three months (for heating furnaces), clean chimneys from soot, cover cracks with clay-sand mortar, whitewash the chimney in the attic and above the roof;

- do not leave the heating stoves unattended, and also do not entrust the supervision of them to young children;

- constantly explain to children the serious danger of playing with fire,. Do not allow them to use household heating appliances without permission, put matches in places inaccessible to them, and also do not leave children unattended;

- do not use gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and other flammable and combustible liquids for ignition of furnaces;

- do not heat furnaces not intended for these types of fuel with coal, coke, gas;

- do not heat stoves with open doors;

- do not dry and store fuel, clothing and other combustible substances and materials directly on the furnaces and at a distance of at least 0.5 m from the furnace openings of the furnaces;

- do not use ventilation and gas ducts as chimneys.

The fulfillment of these elementary requirements of fire safety rules will save you from unpredictable consequences and every owner of a residential building should exercise extreme caution in handling heating stoves. The fire is merciless. And you can't forget about it for the sake of the safety of your property, health and life.
