State symbols:
Work in the field of application and promotion of state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the Republican Commission on state symbols and heraldry of departmental and other awards equated to them.
On the territory of the Ulan district, state symbols are placed in 83 state institutions: 147 state coats of arms, 180 state flags (of which 83 are in the offices of the first heads, 83 are in buildings, and 14 are in meeting rooms ). Many Ulan still remember the movement of the three-thousandth milestone for milk production from a feed cow, an organized competition among grain growers with a weekly summing up of the address and the passing pennant of the editorial office.
However, the most fruitful year was 1987, when in the All-Union competition among district and city newspapers, our newspaper won the first place and was awarded a Diploma of the first degree of the Union of Journalists of the USSR and a cash prize.
