As part of the International Investment Forum "Altai Invest–2025," participants will have the opportunity to discuss mechanisms for implementing investment initiatives, as well as prospects for creating joint business ideas in the territory of East Kazakhstan.
The forum program includes B2B meetings on current issues, an exhibition of investment projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, energy, and tourism, a plenary session, panel discussions, as well as the signing of memorandums and agreements.
Forum Objective:
The purpose of the forum is to comprehensively present the investment and export potential of the East Kazakhstan Region, discuss mechanisms for implementing joint projects, identify new growth points in key economic sectors, and promote the region as a reliable and attractive partner on the international stage.
Forum Tasks:
Create favorable conditions for establishing mutually beneficial economic relations and strengthening friendly partnership ties through the implementation of joint initiatives and the development of institutional dialogue.
Expand international, interregional, and cross-border investment cooperation, stimulate the growth of direct investments, and develop mutual tourism exchange.
Strengthen trade and economic ties, as well as create a favorable environment for developing transport and logistics partnerships, including increasing transit transportation volumes and integration into regional transport corridors.
The forum will be attended by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Armenia; the General Consul of the Russian Federation; representatives of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; representatives of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; regions of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China; regions of Mongolia, foreign and Kazakhstan companies; bloggers from the United States of America, Federal Republic of Germany, the People’s Republic of China, financial institutions, quasi-governmental organizations, and others.
The Department for the Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the East Kazakhstan region informs employers about the need to apply for the need for foreign labor for 2024.
Requirements:
1) the application is submitted in the form in accordance with Annex 1 to the Rules for establishing a quota for attracting foreign labor to the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 15, 2016 No. 802;
2) the application must be sent with a properly executed cover letter (outgoing number, certified by the signature of the manager and seals, contact details indicating the responsible person, phone numbers and e-mail addresses);
3) contain a detailed description in the application form of the justification for the need to attract foreign labor;
4) the application must specify the type of economic activity with a 5-digit code (for example: mining and processing of copper ore - 07292);
5) the application is submitted in the state and Russian languages;

Ust-Kamenogorsk prepares to launch an electronic ticketing system
As part of the implementation of the state program "Digital Kazakhstan" in the regional center, the project "Implementation and maintenance of an automated system for controlling and paying for public transport in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, with the creation of an information system for dispatching urban passenger transport" is being implemented.
Today the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk is preparing to launch an electronic ticketing system that will cover all public transport in the city. There is very little time left before the system starts. Today we will tell you what each passenger needs to know.
A special transport card will appear to pay for the fare
Now, to pay for travel, passengers will use a transport card, which is valid for all types of transport and city routes at once.
Two types of transport cards have been developed: for ordinary passengers and for passengers with benefits.
To pay for the fare, the passenger must attach his transport card to the validator, which is installed near each door in the passenger compartment of the bus or tram. To pay for travel in a minibus, you need to attach the card to the terminal installed near the driver.
When the payment is confirmed, a sound signal will be heard on the validator, a green light will come on and a corresponding inscription will appear on the screen. If the payment failed for any reason, the validator will also signal and display an inscription on the screen.
At the same time, passengers will be able to pay in cash at the driver's seat in the vehicle. This allows you to take into account the interests of the widest possible range of passengers.
For the first time, conductors will work in the bus cabin to help passengers pay for travel. Payment will be verified by controllers. They will block the system during payment control. At checkout, the passenger applies the card to the handheld controller device. At this time, an inscription appears on the screen about whether the fare was paid or not. Passengers who paid in cash show a receipt.

The cost of an ordinary passenger card is 500 tenge. The card is bought once and replenished as needed. For example, when a monthly pass has expired.
The new system allows recording several types of travel fares on one card at once. It can be long-term (for a month), by type of transport (by bus) or for a certain amount (1000 tenge) to pay for one-time trips. If you have several tariffs recorded, then the system will automatically select the most favorable tariff when paying.
Discount cards will be issued free of charge
To receive a discount card, you will need to write an application and attach documents confirming the right to a discount. Now the submission of applications and the issuance of cards has been suspended due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the region.

Discount cards will be personalized and cannot be transferred. The card can only be used by the passenger who is eligible for the benefit.
With the introduction of the electronic ticketing system, travel benefits will be provided only if paid with a discount card. It will not be possible to pay for the reduced fare in cash. Therefore, it is mandatory to apply for a discount card.
