56366 persons with disabilities live in the region, 5186 of them are children with disabilities.
In 2019, in the region, in accordance with the individual rehabilitation program for the disabled, 8390 technical means of rehabilitation were issued in the amount of 629,997 thousand tenge to provide 5514 people.
For reference:
1216 technical equipment for the total amount of 250,092 thousand tenge;
1,076 deaf equipment for a total amount of 49,114 thousand tenge;
1004 special vehicles for a total amount of 80,410 thousand tenge;
5094 prosthetic and orthopedic means for a total amount of 250381 thousand tenge.
Also, 1517 disabled people in 2019 were provided with the sanatorium-resort treatment service in the amount of 141,924 thousand tenge, of which 75,615 thousand tenge (provided 743 people) in accordance with the main budget limit, 66,309 thousand tenge (provided 774 people) were allocated additionally.
In 2020, to provide 9993 disabled people with 11659 technical means of rehabilitation, 1,103,435 thousand tenge were allocated, 1149 disabled people will be provided with a sanatorium-resort treatment service in the amount of 124,851 thousand tenge.

To ensure a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility in the region, 2,643 social infrastructure facilities were certified (100% to the plan), of which 2,075 facilities were adapted, including 588 facilities in the amount of 117,915.3 thousand tenge in 2019, of which 61,362 thousand tenge from the local budget, 56553.3 thousand tenge - private investments. In 2020, it is planned to adapt 568 objects in the amount of 115482.9 thousand tenge, of which 45982.9 thousand tenge is the local budget, 69500 thousand tenge is private investment.
There are 11 cars of the "Invataxi" service in the region, 470 disabled people who have difficulties in movement were provided with the service, for a total amount of 39992.0 thousand tenge from the local budget. In 2020, 40,022 thousand tenge is provided for these purposes.
Employment and employment:
In order to ensure productive employment, the State Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 "Enbek" (hereinafter referred to as the Program) is being implemented.
In 2019, about 1.2 thousand people with disabilities became participants in the Program, of which 1.0 thousand people (83.3%) were employed, of which 0.6 thousand were permanent jobs.
Short-term vocational training covered 143 people.
Training in the basics of entrepreneurship under the Bastau Business project covered 159 people, of whom 82 people defended their business projects, of which 56 persons with disabilities received microcredits and grants.
At the same time, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Employment of the Population" (hereinafter - the Law), local executive bodies ensure the implementation of the state policy in the field of employment by establishing a quota of jobs for people with disabilities in the amount of two to four percent of the number of jobs, excluding workers. places at heavy work, work with harmful, hazardous working conditions.
Currently, 965 disabled people have been employed within the quota.
