The socio-political situation in the city is stable. There are no pronounced foci of social tension.

The executive bodies work closely with the public. Representatives of civil society institutions participate in the work of the Mayor's Office of the city, their opinions are taken into account when making decisions on important issues of the city's development.

Representatives of political parties, Councils of Veterans and elders, local government and its territorial divisions, the Altyn Arkau public association and other organizations actively participate in the socio-political life of the city. The East Kazakhstan regional branch of the Amanat party implements 13 socially significant projects aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens, the formation and strengthening of Kazakhstani patriotism. The work of the City Council of the Public, which unites representatives of many civil sector organizations, has been intensified.

Last year, more than 700 events of various scales were held, aimed at ensuring socio-political stability, which were attended by about 50,000 people.

In 2025, several anniversaries of great importance for our country will be celebrated. These are the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 110th anniversary of the Kazakh writer Ilyas Yesenberlin, the 85th anniversary of the people's writer of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Magauin, the 100th anniversary of the composer, conductor, dombrist, teacher, holder of the title "Halyk Kaharmany N. Tlendiev, the 180th anniversary Abai Kunanbayev, 180th anniversary of Chokan Valikhanov, 95th anniversary of the great Kazakh composer, People's Artist of Kazakhstan Shamshi Kaldayakov, 90th anniversary of poet, writer, one of the authors of the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhumeken Nazhedenov and 190th anniversary of scientist, historian, ethnographer, folklorist, traveler, educator Sh.Ualikhanov.

Today, careful preparations are underway to celebrate each of these events with dignity.
