Rules for handling gas cylinders

The emergency situations department of the Kurchum district conducted a raid in order to familiarize themselves with the rule of using gas in the home on the territory of the Kurchum district in the residential sector.  In particular, the employees of the fire department № 30 of the region and together with the employees of the emergency department organized a “fire safety day” in the private residential sector. The employees organized a tour of the residential sector in order to conduct fire-prevention briefings. Also the employees presented the following basic safety rules for the operation of gas household appliances to people of the region:

- Do not to leave working gas appliances unattended and do not to allow children of preschool age to them;

- Do not use gas stoves for space heating or for drying clothes;

- Do not use open flame to detect gas leaks;

- Do not rest and sleep in rooms where gas equipment is installed;

- Do not place gas cylinders closer than 2 m from the furnace doors of furnaces.
