In Winter, Follow Simple Ice Safety Rules!
In winter, be sure to observe basic safety rules when going out onto the ice:
- The ice thickness must be at least 10–12 cm before stepping onto it;
- Do not walk on unfamiliar or moving sections of ice;
- Take a rope, a stick, and rescue equipment with you;
- Do not leave children unattended;
- If the ice cracks, stay calm and crawl on your stomach toward the shore;
Remember: caution is the key to saving lives!
