2087 people were registered in the employment department on employment issues, of which 1708 people were employed for permanent and temporary work. The employment rate was 81.8%.

During the year, 291 people were directed to paid public works, 33 unemployed were sent to youth practice, and 36 people were assigned to social jobs.

State targeted social assistance was assigned to 758 low-income families in the amount of 301 million 877.6 thousand tenge, including 209 families from large families, 549 families from low-income families. Compared to last year, the number of recipients of benefits increased by 2653 people, or 3.5 times, appointed 6.9 times.

Since the beginning of the year, 490 families have been provided with housing assistance in the amount of 19,102.6 thousand tenge.

To provide charitable assistance to low-income mothers with many children, in 2019, a charity event was held in the villages of Markakol and Kurchum with the participation of heads of institutions, enterprises, peasant farms, individual entrepreneurs of all rural districts, the funds raised were allocated to 86 low-income families. As part of the campaign, patrons purchased housing for 2 large families and one low-income family.

Under the leadership of the akim of the region D. Akhmetov, from the Paryz charity fund, funds were allocated and 5 houses for large families were purchased: in the village of Algabas-3 houses, in the village of Saryolen -1 house, in the village of Birlik - 1 house.

992 people with disabilities live in the Kurchum district, of which 452 people are disabled people of the 1st and 2nd groups, 450 and 90 are disabled children in 3 groups.

In accordance with the individual rehabilitation program for the disabled and pensioners, 15 disabled people were sent to the Karagayli sanatorium, 40 pensioners to the Uba sanatorium, and 41 pensioners to the Ust-Talovka sanatorium. There are 3 disabled people in the Sputnik sanatorium, 1 disabled person in the Shchuchinsk sanatorium.

Based on the decision of the medical and social examination, an individual rehabilitation program is drawn up for each disabled person, according to which the disabled are provided with the necessary hygiene products.

16 disabled people of the 1st group are provided with the services of 10 individual assistants.

Since the beginning of the year, people with disabilities have been given: 11 strollers, 1 electric stroller, 5 indoor strollers, 6 laptops with speech output, 2 baby strollers, 16 canes, 3 canes with an armrest, 2 typhoid, 1 walker for adults and 1 for children, 16 crutches, 1 multifunctional alarm system, 7 laptops with a webcam, 7 players, 5 cell phones with speech output, 6 thermometers with speech output, 2 sign-hours.

In October 2019, a day care unit was opened for children with disabilities.
