On October 21, 2026, a grand opening of a modern chess classroom for primary school students took place at Secondary School No. 41 of the Education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
At the beginning of the event, a small concert was organized, performed by schoolchildren.
The main goal of the event is to develop the intellectual abilities of the younger generation and popularize chess sports within the school.
At the ceremonial event, S. Kasenova, head of the Department of Preschool Education and Training and Primary Education of the East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Development of Education 'Orken' of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department, delivered a welcoming speech. She expressed warm wishes to the students and the teaching staff, wishing the young chess players to achieve great heights in their studies and sports.

A series of educational lessons dedicated to the formation of girls' reproductive health was held in the East Kazakhstan region. The event was organized by the KSU "East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Educational Development "Yerken" of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department. The lessons, conducted in two languages for students in grades 9-11, were conducted in an open interview format, which allowed them to create a trusting atmosphere and get answers to their most pressing questions.
Asisa Temirkhanova, an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Center for Mother and Child of East Kazakhstan Region, became the guest of honor and speaker. During the conversation, the expert highlighted in detail the key aspects of the maturation of the female body, emphasizing that reproductive health is not only physiology, but also a harmonious psycho—emotional state.
Asisa Sagyndykovna spoke about the norms of puberty, changes in the body and the importance of personal hygiene from an early age. Special attention was paid to the menstrual cycle: its formation, permissible fluctuations and "red flags", in which it is urgently necessary to consult a doctor. The specialist dispelled popular myths and urged girls not to be shy about visits to the gynecologist, starting at the age of 15, and in the presence of complaints — even earlier.
A significant part of the interview focused on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and the impact of lifestyle — nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and stress — on hormones and future motherhood. The expert's main advice sounded like a parting word.: "Your body is only yours. Listen to him, take care of him, and don't be afraid to ask the experts questions." The lessons were an important step in raising the awareness of the younger generation and forming a responsible attitude towards their health.

Health lessons dedicated to the prevention of hepatitis A were held in the East Kazakhstan region. The organizer was the KSU "East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Educational Development "Erken" of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department. The classes were conducted in the interview format for students of the region in two languages — Kazakh and Russian, which made it possible to reach a wide audience of schoolchildren of different ages. The speaker was Aygerim Armankyz Batyrkhanova, a public health doctor at the Shygys Center for Preventive Medicine Medical Institution.
The topic of the lessons — "Stop hepatitis A! Find out and protect yourself" — aroused great interest. During the interview, the doctor explained in detail that hepatitis A is an infectious disease that affects the liver and is most often transmitted through contaminated hands, water and food. Symptoms may include weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, fever, and yellowing of the skin and eyes.
The main focus was on prevention. The speaker stressed that the simplest and most effective rule is to wash your hands with soap and running water. It is especially important to wash your hands after using the toilet, before eating and cooking. If it is not possible to wash your hands, you can use antiseptics. It is also necessary to drink only safe water, and if in doubt, boil it. Fruits and vegetables should be thoroughly washed, and some, such as Chinese apples, should be soaked in boiling water.
The doctor also answered questions about vaccination. She confirmed that hepatitis A vaccination is one of the ways to prevent it, but the decision to vaccinate a child is made jointly with the parents and a medical specialist, taking into account the national vaccination calendar. It is important that the child is absolutely healthy at the time of vaccination.
The speaker also touched upon the topic of other types of hepatitis B and C, which are transmitted parenterally, for example, through blood. She warned about the risks of infection when visiting manicure, tattoo, and dental clinics if the instruments are not properly sterilized. Therefore, it is important to choose trusted craftsmen and clinics.
At the end of the lesson, the doctor reminded that if symptoms of hepatitis A appear, you should not self-medicate, you urgently need to see a doctor. The earlier treatment is started, the lower the risk of complications. The students received comprehensive answers to their questions and thanked the speaker. Conducting such lessons in two languages helps the younger generation to develop a responsible attitude towards their health and improve medical literacy.
A series of lessons dedicated to the unified civil protection signal "Attention to all!" was held in schools of the East Kazakhstan region. The organizer was the KSU "East Kazakhstan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Informatization and Educational Development "Yerken" of the East Kazakhstan Region Education Department. The classes were conducted in the interview format for students of the region in two languages — Russian and Kazakh, with approximately the same content.
The guest of the lessons was an officer of the civil protection Department of the Emergency Department of East Kazakhstan region Kalioldanov Alisher Yerlanovich. He answered the students' questions in detail.: what does the "Attention everyone!" signal mean, in what situations it is given, how to recognize it and what to do in the first minutes.
The speaker stressed that the signal is transmitted through sirens, electric sirens, siren-speech devices, as well as through television, radio, mobile applications and SMS. After hearing it, you should not panic — you need to listen to the message to the end and act according to the instructions. "The main thing is not to panic. Calmness and attentiveness to communication save lives," said Alisher Yerlanovich.
The students learned how to behave if they were caught in class, at recess, on the street or at home. They were reminded that unverified information should not be disseminated, and official data can be obtained by calling 112, through the Darmen Emergency Service — Kazakhstan Emergency Service application and other official sources.
For better assimilation of the material by schoolchildren of the region, the Erken Center for Informatization and Educational Development has developed an interactive memo with flashcards: by clicking on any of them, a student can read a short instruction.
Such activities help to form a safety culture and correct behavior in emergency situations among the younger generation. After all, knowing simple rules can save life and health.
On May 30, 2026, on the basis of the Sauyr Secondary School in Zaisan, with the direct assistance and participation of Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Nurymbet Saktaganov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Alim Bayel, the grand opening of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani friendship cabinet took place.
The project is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in the field of education and culture, supporting gifted students and opening up new opportunities for the younger generation. The investor of the project was the Buta Group company. The office is equipped with modern equipment, furniture and interactive educational materials.
The main goal of the initiative is to allocate interstate grant places for study in leading higher education institutions of the two countries. Thanks to this support, this year three graduates of the school — Yesen Ayzere (Psychology, Baku State University), Kayyrgazy Ayzere (International Relations, Baku State University) and Sugat Salih (Dentistry, Azerbaijan Medical University) — entered prestigious universities in Azerbaijan and went to study. Graduates will now be sent to study in the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of these grants on an annual basis.
