Regional online webinar “Peculiarities of schoolchildren’s research activities in biology classes in small schools”

On March 9, 2023, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region, as part of implementing the annual plan, held a regional online webinar called “Peculiarities of schoolchildren’s research activities in biology classes in small schools”.

The goal of the webinar is to increase the creative activity of gifted, capable pupils, to involve children in research work through the systematic application of methods and innovative technologies, and the exchange of experience.

In all, 100 people attended the online webinar – teachers of biology of educational organizations of rural and ungraded schools of the region.

During the webinar, the following experts shared their experience and results of effective methods to attract school students to various subject Olympiads, intellectual and creative competitions:

Natalya N. Kablukova, the winner of the regional competition “Best Rural Teacher”, a teacher of biology and chemistry of Chapayev Secondary School of Education Department of Altai district on the topic “Ways to boost schoolchildren’s research activities when teaching biology in an ungraded school”;

Almira Shagyrayeva, a teacher of biology of T. Tokhtarov Basic Secondary School of Education Department of Tarbagatai district on the topic “Shagyn zhinakty mektepte biologiya pani boiynsha zertteu barysynda shygarmashylyk іs-аreketterіn kalyptastyru";   

Nurgul B. Abilbayeva, a teacher of biology of Akkainar Secondary School of Education Department of Katon-Karagai district on the topic “Shagyn zhinakty mektepterde biologiya paninen okushylardyn gylymi zertteu zhumystaryn zhandandyru”;

Olga G. Tuganova, a teacher of biology of Vinnoe Secondary School of Education Department of Glubokoe district on the topic “Research activities and its organization in the classroom and during free time in biology”;

Aigul B. Sargaskayeva, a teacher of biology of K. Nurgaliyev Gymnasium of Education Department of Kurchum district on the topic “Biologiya sabaktarynda gylymi-zertteu zhumystaryn tiymdi uiymdastyru”.  

During feedback organized in the final part of the workshop, the participants exchanged their views and received methodological recommendations for conducting research work.
