Regional workshop “Implementing an educational idea as part of Rural School Project: problems, searches, solutions”

On January 24, 2023, in accordance with the plan, Shygys Regional Center of Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region held a regional workshop called “Implementing an educational idea as part of Rural School Project: problems, searches, solutions” for subject teachers of rural schools. It took place on the basis of R. Marsekov Secondary School of Education Department of Ulan district.  

The goal of the workshop is about narrowing the education quality gap between urban and rural schools, exchanging and sharing the experience of R. Marsekov Secondary School of Education Department of Ulan district as part of Rural School Project.

The workshop was attended by S. B. Kaisarbekov, a project manager of Education Sustainable Development Foundation, the representatives of Teaching Excellence Center, the branch of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, subject teachers of rural schools of Samar, Glubokoe, Zaisan, Kurchum, Tarbagatai, Ulan and Shemonaikha districts, Ust-Kamenogorsk city, Ridder town.  

According to the program of the practical workshop, 11 open lessons were presented (mathematics, geometry, physics, chemistry, biology, the Kazakh language and literature, the Russian language and literature, history, primary classes, integrated lessons of mathematics and chemistry, history and art), as well as 13 master- classes, coachings and 33 projects.

During the workshop, the teachers shared their experience on the following topics: “A rural school in the networking school development”, “Ways to create successful conditions in the classroom”, “Effective ways to increase learners' interest in reading”, “Volleyball training processes”, “Basketball Streetball”, “Effective use of modern methods in the classroom”, “Practical use of the most efficient online/offline resources”, Reading School Project, using pedagogical technologies “Education for sustainable development”, “Teaching methods with collective processes” , “Ways to solve logical problems in primary school”, “Development of fine motor skills of children in need of special education.”

In the “Parade of Projects”, the teachers of R. Marsekov Secondary School presented the ways they develop professional orientation and functional literacy of learners, shared their experience in improving the knowledge, skills and abilities of children using the potential of the classroom equipped in accordance with modern requirements, on the topics “Intellect battle”, “Reading school”, “Zhas kalamger”, “Kazakh - Ulttyk Kazyna”, “Kas kagym sat”, “Chemistry in beauty industry”, “Young Archaeologist School”, “Treasures of history”, “Sacred places of East Kazakhstan region” , “Abai the greatest”, “All about the USA”, “Kitap-Time”, “Tuster “Colors”, “Tales in the world of theater”.

During the workshop, the teachers took part in the song contest-project “100 Kazakh songs”.

The workshop was followed by feedback, where the participants received answers to their questions.
