Professional education

There are 38 colleges in the technical and vocational education system of East Kazakhstan region in 2024, including 23 public and 15 private ones. They have over 19,000 students, including 16,747 students are receiving state-funded education. Training includes 73 specializations. The staffing potential of the technical and vocational education system of East Kazakhstan region consists of 1,657 engineering and pedagogical professionals.

The state funding for college enrollment is increasing annually in the region to implement the project “Free technical and vocational education for all”.

27 colleges of the region are training students according to the dual system, preparing 5,030 students across 44 specializations in agriculture, transport, construction, food processing, mining, services, communications and information technology, energy, involving 448 enterprises as social partners of colleges.
