In 2024, Education Administration of East Kazakhstan region launched a Career Guidance Cyclogram to ensure a quality admission process to colleges and regional universities. Within this framework, comprehensive activities are held among schoolchildren and youth of the region:
- “My Pro” festival of professions at Competence Centers and leading colleges of the region, reaching over 3,000 school students of Ust-Kamenogorsk city;
- “Start Profi-Shygys” mobile group - involving representatives of colleges and universities, covering more than 5,000 school students and over 600 people of the NEET youth category.
- A Summer Camp for school students aged 9-15 at Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College.
Work is also underway on the Guidebook program, which includes 91 pre-professional training courses for 8th to 11th graders and youth of the NEET category.
On the website www.ctipo.kz, in the “For Applicants” section, students can take an online professional diagnostic test, helping students choose certain types of professions. Based on the results of the test, they choose a specialty and an educational institution, before signing up for pre-professional training courses at colleges;
In order to conduct high-quality career guidance work with schoolchildren, students and adults in choosing a profession, the regional competition “Best career guidance counselor” is held annually among college career guidance counselors.
