In the Altai region, the crop production sector accounts for 77% of the total gross agricultural output.

This year, 141 agricultural enterprises and 16.3 thousand personal farmsteads of the population were involved in the crop production industry. Land users of the district are assigned 222.8 thousand hectares of agricultural land, including 73.5 thousand hectares of arable land. The acreage of agricultural crops in the current year amounted to 72.2 thousand hectares, which corresponds to 100% implementation of the signed memorandum for 2020 and is more than last year's level by 0.8 thousand hectares. Spring sowing in 2020 was carried out on an area of 65.3 thousand hectares. Steam wedge in the current year amounted to 1.3 thousand hectares or 1.8% of all arable land in the district.

In 2020, grain crops were sown with conditioned seeds in the amount of 9.7 thousand tons. Seeds of class 1 and 2 amounted to 9.69 thousand tons or 99.9%, class 3-0.001 thousand tons or 0.1 %.

In 2020, agricultural enterprises of the district purchased 6893 tons of subsidized mineral fertilizers, which is 1515.3 tons more than the amount contributed in 2019. Mineral fertilizers were applied at 115 kg per 1 ha of sown area of the district (with a regional indicator of 89.7 kg per 1 ha).

In 2020, agricultural enterprises of the district purchased 93524 l / kg of subsidized pesticides( herbicides), which is 42601.4 l/kg more than in 2019 (in 2019, 50922.6 kg/l).

In total, 1,755 tons of cheap diesel fuel were allocated for cleaning in the Altai region, from the Pavlodar NHZ at the plant's selling price of 168 tenge per liter.

In October, an additional 1,235 tons of diesel fuel were allocated for drying seeds at a price of 170 tenge per liter.

In the current year, agricultural producers of the district purchased 63 units of agricultural machinery for a total of 1 billion 518 million tenge (in 2019, 37 units for the amount of 1 billion tenge).53 million tenge), including 1 forage harvester and 3 grain harvesters in the amount of 295.5 million tenge, including through JSC "KazAgroFinance" 16 units were purchased in the amount of 372.2 million tenge.

According to the moisture-resource-saving technology, crops were sown on 55.0 thousand hectares, which amounted to 76.2 % of all crops – this is 7 thousand hectares more than last year. There are more than 100 units of specialized agricultural machinery in the district for sowing using resource-saving technology.

In total,subsidies of 1 billion 74.3 million tenge were received from the budget, including:

- to support seed production – 183.3 million tenge (+71.1 million tenge by 2019);

- to reduce the cost of mineral fertilizers - 326.2 million tenge (-59.3 million tenge by 2019);

- to reduce the cost of herbicides – 223.4 million tenge (+99.4 million tenge by 2019);

- on investment subsidies – 341.4 million tenge.

Winter crops were harvested, including: 1097 ha (100%) of winter wheat with an average yield in the bunker weight of 22.7 c / ha, 239.9 ha of winter rapeseed with an average yield in the bunker weight of 15 c / ha.

Agricultural enterprises of the district have completed the harvesting of leguminous crops on an area of 40.2 thousand hectares, oilseeds on 25.1 thousand hectares,

The structure of the sown areas of the district corresponds to the standards of agricultural production. So, in 2020, the specific weight of grain crops was 55%, sunflower 27% of the specific weight of sown areas of the district (in 2019, the specific weight of sunflower was 28%).

According to operational data in the current year, the yield of grain crops in the test weight was 21 c/ha. In 2019, this indicator was equal to 28.8 c / ha.

The main reason for the decrease in the yield of grain and leguminous crops in the Altai region compared to 2019 is associated with unfavorable natural and climatic conditions associated with prolonged drought. In 2020, according to Kazhydromet, less than 70% of precipitation fell in the region in the period from May to June than in 2019. So, in June 2020, 543.7 mm of precipitation fell, compared to June 2019 – 953.7 mm, or 57% less.

The yield of oilseeds in the current year in the test weight was 22.1 c / ha, in 2019 20.2 c / ha.

According to operational data, the yield of sunflower in the test weight was 22.6 c / ha, in 2019 the yield was 24.8 c / ha.

The yield of rapeseed was 20.7 c / ha, in 2019 the yield was 14.8 c / ha.

Production of potatoes and vegetable products in the region increased by an average of 0.03 thousand tons compared to last year. Potatoes in the current year produced 29.75 thousand tons, the average yield was 245.8 c / ha, vegetables produced 24.2 thousand tons, with an average yield of 314.6 c / ha.

In the autumn of this year, winter plowing was carried out on an area of 40.0 thousand hectares, or 100% of the planned volume, and winter crops were sown on an area of 1216 hectares, of which 85 hectares are winter rye crops, 1131 hectares are winter wheat crops.
