Anti-corruption activities
In order to further improve the system of public service and anti-corruption, on June 13, 2019, by Presidential Decree No. 12, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau was transformed into the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service).
According to the Decree, the Agency is an independent law enforcement agency endowed with exceptional comprehensive competencies in combating corruption, while the National Bureau was an agency within the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption.
The Anti-Corruption Agency is designed to strengthen the fight against corruption and increase the effectiveness of its prevention.
