An extraordinary meeting of the Committee of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Food Industry under the Regional Council was held at the site of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Turkestan region. The participants of the meeting discussed the problematic issues of providing the market with fuel and lubricants.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Basic Industries and Ecology of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Protection and Development of Competition in the Turkestan region, the deputy head of the regional Department of Agriculture, representatives of PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP and PETROSUN LLP, as well as entrepreneurs of Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions and the city of Shymkent.
In turn, the representative of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan explained that the main reason for the deficit in the period from May 6 to June 10 was due to planned repairs at PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP. To date, repair work has been completed, 20 thousand tons of gasoline and 8 thousand tons of diesel fuel have been shipped to the southern regions. This will fully meet the needs for fuel and lubricants in the southern regions within a week.
In addition, farmers complained about the increase in prices for fuel and lubricants and recalled that in our region, harvesting begins earlier than in other areas.
According to Alibi Turysbayev, head of the Department of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition in the Turkestan region, large carriers explained the price increase by the high cost of transporting fuel from other regions. The Department will conduct analytical work and take measures in case of violations.
The Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs proposed to the Ministry of Energy to speed up the organization of diesel fuel supplies to the region to solve the problems of farmers with a shortage of fuel for the export of perishable products.
The PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP plant provides fuel to the Turkestan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and Almaty regions, the cities of Almaty and Shymkent.
