By 2020, 39 day schools, 5 extracurricular institutions, and 108 kindergartens is functioning in the Department of human capital development of the mayor's office of Turkestan.
1. from 39 schools:
- General secondary school-25;
- school-Lyceum-1;
- school-gymnasium-5;
- regional boarding school for gifted children-1;
- complex primary school-kindergarten-1;
- private school-6.
2. extracurricular institutions:
- "Children and youth center»;
- "Music school";
- "School of art";
- "Station of young tourists»;
- "School of crafts»
3. from 108 kindergartens:
- state kindergarten-21;
- private kindergarten-87.
And also:
- In 39 schools, the number of pre-school children is 2708, in grades 1-11, the number of students is 44558;
- 14,683+404 children are brought up in public and private kindergartens;
- in extracurricular institutions, 2,627 students attend various clubs and receive additional education.
The purpose of General education schools is to teach modern methods and types of educational process in the implementation of state mandatory standards and educational programs.
Tasks:
- Implementation of tasks in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- creating the necessary conditions for obtaining high-quality education aimed at the formation, development and professional development of the individual on the basis of national and civil values, achievements of science and practice;
- ensuring the improvement of the social status of teaching staff;
-school-Lyceum-advanced study of natural and mathematical subjects;
- school-gymnasium-works for the purpose of educating the conscious generation through in-depth study of subjects of Humanities and natural science.
And out-of-school institutions are working to provide additional education for children in order to effectively use their free time.
