2020 year

  • A meetingplanner will be developed for the MICE tourism organizers, it will include inventory of all conference rooms with their panoramic photos for the convenience of the organizers. There is also a function for businesses to post information about their companies and events services through personal accounts.
  • This year, there is going to be launched a ticket search module through Aviata / Chocotravel. In the future, anyone can integrate their service for finding airline tickets on the portal.
  • Based on the Kazakhstan.travel portal, it is planned to create a single online e-Tourism window for three stakeholders: government, business and tourist.

Each of these groups has its own digitalization needs.

Business needs to automatically receive government services in one place.

Today, licensing tour operators at the MIO, obtaining a star for hotels at the MIIR, registers of travel agencies and guides at the ISS, fees for outbound tourists to the SRO, registration of tourists at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, registration of public insurance in insurance companies. In addition, there is permission to visit the border zone, payment of admission tickets to national parks, which is also not automated. This fact significantly increases the transaction costs of the business.

Also, business needs accessible online resources for staff training, search for suppliers and partners, tools for the formation of tourism products and promotion. In the near future, it is planned to develop an e-Learning module on the Kazakhstan.travel portal for business representatives.

The tourism industry is characterized by a high level of customization, but today there is no single platform where representatives of various sectors (hoteliers, tour operators, travel agencies, transport companies, restaurants and guides) could conveniently exchange information and create a product in one place, and subsequently make transactions.

Tourists, in turn, want to receive up-to-date information about sights, flights, buses and have the opportunity to book tickets, be able to get an online visa, have convenient contact with the state in case of emergency, and some kind of analyst at the best places in the form of user ratings.

In addition to information and reservations, tourists on e-Tourism will be able to simulate and save their route through their personal accounts, will be able to choose a travel company or guide, leave feedback, and also receive feedback from the state through a hotline.

To stimulate tourists, a loyalty program will also be introduced, where both local and foreign tourists will be able to mark their movements in Kazakhstan and receive points for travel, which can subsequently be accumulated and converted into free accommodation tickets.

The third stakeholder is a state that needs analytics, communication with business and tourists, to be able to forecast tourist flows to integrate its data with other information systems, to provide relevant data to potential investors.

All this data can be obtained through BigData based on traffic and tourist requests and business activity. A passport of the most visited places in the regions, a portrait of tourists will be formed, as well as a link between the state and business with the regional tourist information centers, with the regional administrations of militarism and other structures. In the near future, it is planned to develop an analytics module on the portal, with the integration of data from cellular telecom operators to obtain analytics for both inbound and domestic tourists.

E-Tourism also offers a mobile application that, in addition to the above, will give push notifications to tourists and local residents about ongoing events, discounts, etc.
