What measures of state support are available in the tourism sector?

State support for business entities in the tourism sector is carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Tourist Activity" and a number of regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Forms of support include:

Subsidizing part of the costs for maintaining sanitary-hygienic units (SHU).

The state reimburses part of the expenses of entrepreneurs providing services to tourists at infrastructure facilities.

How to obtain a license for tourist operator activity?

A license for tourist operator activity can be obtained from the Tourism Department of the East Kazakhstan Region.

Submission procedure:
The application is submitted electronically through the portals www.egov.kz or www.elicense.kz using a digital signature.

Required documents:

1. Electronic application of the established form;
2. Electronic copy of the document confirming payment of the license fee;
3. Electronic form of information on compliance with qualification requirements and documents confirming this.

Service timelines:

• Issuance of a license — up to 6 working days;
• Re-issuance of a license — up to 3 working days (or 6 days in case of reorganization).

License fee amount:

• For initial issuance — 10 MCI (Monthly Calculation Index);
