Since 2018, the digitalization of the North Kazakhstan region has been carried out in accordance with the State Program "Digital Kazakhstan" (No. 827 of December 12, 2017) and Methodological Recommendations for the construction of "smart" cities (Reference standard of "Smart" cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Order of the Minister of Digital Development, innovations and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 152/НҚ dated July 10, 2019).

The state program and the Reference Standard allow us to approach the uniform development of all regions. This is how digitalization of 11 key areas is carried out (security, housing and communal services, healthcare, education, transport, business and tourism development, agriculture, social sphere, construction, city management, ecology).

The Ministry of Digital Development of Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a National Project DigitEL (Digital Era Lifestyle / Digital Lifestyle) and has 5 directions:

• Society of the future;
• Development of economic competitiveness through digitalization;
• Digital control;
• Balanced territorial development;
• Reliable and secure infrastructure.
