March 1 — the Day of gratitude
The Day of Gratitude is a bright festival of Kazakhstan’s patriotism, unity and friendship. The people of Kazakhstan celebrated this holiday for the first time on March 1, 2016.
The Day of Gratitude has its own special history: the great multinational family of Kazakhstan, which its people are proud of, is the result of several waves of migration.
The colleges regularly host various events: conferences, promotions, briefings, as well as thematic online concerts, competitions and open lessons aimed at strengthening mutual assistance and respect between different ethnic groups and nationalities, and at fostering patriotism, harmony and national unity.
This year, on the occasion of the Day of Gratitude, teachers and students of the college took part in such events as charity events "From Heart to Heart", "Heart Filled with Love"; an exhibition of books "Corner of Kindness"; an online performance of students from different nationalities "Thank you, my Kazakhstan!", as well as events with the participation of young people and volunteers, ethno — cultural associations that are aimed at developing charity and helping low-income and needy families.
The main purpose of these events is to foster a sense of tolerance, respect and friendliness among young people, as well as to strengthen inter-ethnic harmony and inter-ethnic relations among the younger generation.
Each Kazakh family has its own unique history, rich national traditions and customs. If a person wants to be spiritually developed, first of all, he must know his ancestors. Because, as you know, the knowledge of the past opens the curtain of the future. To know the history of your family and pass it on by inheritance is simply necessary, otherwise we will lose our roots and undergo spiritual degradation. On the Day of Gratitude, college students took an active part in the online challenge "Thank you, my Kazakhstan!".
Events held in colleges for the Day of Gratitude contribute to strengthening the relationship between the ethnic groups and nationalities of students who study within its walls. Only with this approach will we be able to raise a decent generation of young people and bring our country to a new level of economic and spiritual development!
