On the basis of the RSE "Military-Technical School of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan" on June 17, 2021, the military-sports and patriotic camp "Otan-2021" was held dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the sports and mass event was to increase the image of military service, to strengthen the physical and psychological health of young people.
The participants of the event were the teams of the North Kazakhstan Vocational Pedagogical College, the Higher College named after Magzhan Zhumabayev, North Kazakhstan Higher Medical College, Petropavlovsk Construction and Economics College, College of Arts — Specialized Boarding School for Art-gifted Children named after Yermek Serkebaev, Higher Agricultural College named after Zh.Kizatov, Petropavlovsk College of Railway Transport named after B.Ashimov, Taiynsha College of Agribusiness, Engineering College of Petropavlovsk, consisting of 4 people each (2 young men/2 young ladies).
The teams competed in drill training, assembling and disassembling of a Kalashnikov assault rifle, air rifle shooting, pull-ups, push-ups, flat race and CrossFit. The participants overcame an obstacle course, ran the command “Gas!”, completed tasks on knowing the history of their country, participated in the creative competition "We Remember and we are Proud".
As a result of the competition, the 1st place was taken by the team of the Higher College named after Magzhan Zhumabayev, 2nd place — North Kazakhstan Vocational Pedagogical College, 3rd place — Petropavlovsk Construction and Economics College. The prizewinning teams were awarded with cups, diplomas and certificates.
The sports-mass event was of great importance in the military patriotic education of the younger generation, as well as in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
