There are 4 LLP and 19 agricultural enterprises, 3 farms, small and medium-sized businesses (13 individual entrepreneurs), 2 shops, 1 goose farm on the territory of the district. IP Romazanov is engaged in the cultivation and sale of geese, and plans to increase the livestock to 8000 heads.
There are significant reserves for improving the socio-economic development of the district in agriculture. This year, there are not very favorable weather conditions for the formation of the harvest. Despite this, agricultural producers have harvested a good harvest. The average yield of cereals was 15 quintals per hectare, oilseeds – 7 quintals per hectare.
In order to increase production capacity, our agricultural producers annually update agricultural machinery. Over the past year, agricultural machinery in the amount of 5 units was purchased by the city-forming enterprise "Santa Maria" LLP through lending. Our Cretan farms are not far behind, which annually update the fleet of necessary equipment.
Santa Maria LLP is involved in the field of animal husbandry in the district. The number of cattle in the district as of 01.01.2024 is
635 heads, MPC - 1706 heads, 155 pigs, 488 horses, the poultry population of the district is 5070 heads (chickens, geese, ducks and turkeys).
The veterinary service of the rural district carries out work on an annual basis on tagging, labeling and vaccination of pets. According to the results of last year, veterinary measures were carried out by 100%. Vaccination against avian influenza was carried out in a timely manner.
