SHYMKENT: 75 CONTACT PERSONS WITH PATIENTS WERE ISOLATED

Another 5 people infected with coronavirus infection were registered in Shymkent. All these patients were in close contact with a 24-year-old citizen who had an epidemic on April 5. This was reported by the Deputy head of the health directorate of Shymkent city Aigul Bekbauova at a briefing with media representatives.

According to a representative of the Directorate, infected family members have been monitored at the city's infectious diseases hospital. The results of a laboratory study to detect infection showed a positive result of the COVID-19 sample. All patients have been prescribed the necessary treatment, and their condition is stable.

75 contact citizens with patients were identified. All of them are isolated and taken under medical control. 
Currently, 19 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Shymkent.

In addition, 2 patients from the Turkestan region were transferred to the city infectious diseases hospital. These patients receive appropriate treatment in the intensive care unit.
