The list of duties of the Department of digitization and digital infrastructure is responsible for ensuring a unified policy in the field of information in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, execution of the state program "Digital Kazakhstan", the monitoring of implementation of projects of digitalization in the fields of activity according to methodical recommendations for building "smart" cities (the Reference standard for "smart" cities of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
This year, as part of the implementation of Smart city components, the following digitalization projects are planned:

- Intelligent video surveillance system;
- Electronic ticketing system in public transport;
- Creating a single Parking space in the city;
- Implementation of IoT elements in social objects;
- Implementation of IoT elements in multi-family residential buildings;
- Implementation of lighting management system;
- Dispatching of solid waste removal;
- Implementation of the "monitoring and response Service" 109»;
- Creation of a unified database of information systems of the mayor's office of the city;
- Information and educational complex " Smart sunflower»;
- Conducting courses to improve the level of digital literacy of the population.
