A New Year tree for schoolchildren was organized today in Shymkent on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The festive event was simultaneously held throughout the country under the motto "New Kazakhstan is a country of happy childhood". The mayor of the city Murat Aitenov took part in the presidential Christmas tree. The head of the megapolis read out a congratulatory letter from the Head of State.

Today Shymkent City Cancer Center was visited by a number of leading oncologists from St. Petersburg, headed by the famous professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Thoracic Oncology of the National Scientific Center of Oncology named after N.N. Petrov Evgeny Levchenko. The specialists of the Center, together with their foreign colleagues, performed complex operations on patients with severe forms of cancer.
One of the planned operations for the exchange of experience was performed on a 65-year-old patient who had suffered a bronchial fistula. During the year, the patient, who is registered at the dispensary, repeatedly underwent a course of chemotherapy. The consequences of a dangerous disease in a complicated form, which is less common among oncological diseases, could lead to tragedy. By performing an operation based on new technologies, the doctors of both states bypassed the patient's life. According to foreign doctors, as a result of today's measures to exchange experience, the condition of patients, the quality of life will improve and it will become easier to receive treatment.
Having positively assessed the work of the Shymkent City Cancer Center, Russian doctors expressed their readiness to continue cooperation in the near future. It should be noted that in order to strengthen the fight against oncological diseases, the specialists of the center have established close partnerships with doctors not only in Russia, but also in Turkey and Uzbekistan.
Now 250 people are being treated at the center. Among them are patients from Turkestan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda regions.
Preventive work has been systematically established in the center in order to prevent oncological diseases in the early stages. As a result, there is an improvement in the quality of cancer treatment.
