The resolution of border incidents is carried out in the manner prescribed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Resolution of border incidents is achieved through unilateral or joint investigation with the neighboring state, consideration of border incidents at meetings of border representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the neighboring state.
For the exchange of information, correspondence exchange points are established at the State Border.
Joint investigations of border incidents and other meetings of border representatives are held at the meeting points of border representatives. If necessary, these activities can be organized directly at the site of the border incident.
Activities to resolve border incidents are carried out by the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
When resolving border incidents in the airspace, representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are involved as experts.
When resolving border incidents, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan may involve the forces and means of other authorized bodies in the investigation.
Border incidents not regulated by the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan are resolved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
