Today in Kazakhstan there are 4 toll sections with a total length of 682 km. In December 2019, as a result of the investment bidding, an Agreement was signed on the design and maintenance of a system for charging a fee of 11 thousand km. Under the Agreement, until 2021, it is planned to install a toll system on reconstructed sections with a length of 5.7 thousand km. On the remaining 5.3 thousand km, it is planned to introduce tolling until 2024 when reconstruction works are completed.
