Combating drug crime

The direction of combating drug crime is the direction of implementation of state policy within the limits of competence, as well as regulatory, implementation and control functions in the field of trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors.

Functions:

• organization and implementation of state policy on trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors;
• inter-agency coordination of the activities of state bodies and other organizations on the prevention and combating of drug offences;
• prevention, detection, suppression and disclosure of offences related to narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors;
• drug safety in the information and communication system;
• organization of state control over the circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors;
• monitoring the state and development trends of the drug situation;
• interaction with law enforcement agencies of foreign states, international organizations in the fight against drug crime;
• coordination and organization of activities of cynology services.
