Civil protection

Civil protection includes: preventions and elimination of natural and man-made emergencies, provision of emergency medical and psychological assistance to the population, ensuring fire safety and organize civil defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Functions:

• development of the main directions and ensuring the implementation of state policy in the field of civil protection, ensuring the functioning and further development of the state civil protection system;
• civil protection planning;
• development, approval and approval of draft normative legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• development of rules for the storage, recording, write-off and disposal of civil defence assets;
• development of rules for registration and de-registration of civil defence facilities;
• drafting of a provision on republican civil protection services;
• development of a curriculum for training managers, specialists of governing bodies and civil defense forces;
• development of a single certificate form for students trained and retrained in civil protection;
• development of a set of measures to increase the sustainability of the functioning of business facilities and security in emergency situations;
• development of minimum life support standards for populations in emergency situations;
• preparation of proposals to identify the need for civil protection;
• development of a training program for rescuers of emergency rescue services and units.
