Medical support

The Department of medical support is a structural division of the UIS committee that performs implementation and control functions in the field of the Penal correction system within its competence.

Responsibilities:

1) methodological guidance and control over the organization of the work of medical services of territorial divisions of the UIS committee, departmental medical units of UIS institutions, medical and sanitary units;

2) development of measures to develop a network of medical and preventive institutions of the UIS (hereinafter referred to as medical institutions), strengthen their material base, improve the equipment of modern medical and diagnostic equipment, medicines;

3) Analysis and improvement of the activities of medical institutions, study and implementation of advanced forms and methods of prevention and treatment of diseases in their activities;

4) analysis of the results of treatment of persons held in UIs institutions, assessment of the impact of conditions of detention on the state of health, development of proposals to strengthen their health;

5) justification of the staffing of departmental medical, medical and preventive, sanitary and anti-epidemic departments;

6) consideration of letters, complaints and appeals within the competence
on issues of medical support of citizens;

7) general morbidity, temporary morbidity

loss of working capacity and other health indicators of the attached contingent;

8) Organization of Psycho-Narcological assistance to persons of the attached contingent;

9) Organization of scientific and practical conferences,
conducting seminars and meetings on the following issues:
health care;

10) conducting comprehensive, planned and unscheduled inspections of the work of medical services of territorial divisions of the UIS committee, UIs institutions and providing practical assistance in their work;

11) organization and supervision of compliance with sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic requirements that ensure the protection of the health of persons held in UIs institutions;

12) improvement of management of antitubercular measures, study and implementation of advanced forms and methods of work, prevention and treatment of tuberculosis, development and adoption of measures to respond promptly to emergency situations requiring the intervention of the Department;

13) coordination of the activities of divisions of State Sanitary and epidemiological supervision of territorial divisions of the UIS committee;

14) implementation of intersectoral coordination, international cooperation, as well as interaction with other state bodies on the implementation of State, sectoral and departmental programs;
