Representing the interests of the state in court
- Protection of human rights to a fair trial, humane treatment and respect for dignity in the execution of criminal sentences and the application of other measures of state coercion;
- assistance in the formation of a uniform judicial practice and balanced criminal policy with the priority of correction and resocialization of convicts;
- identification and elimination of violations of the law, causes and conditions that contribute to them, as well as their consequences;
- supervision of the legality of judicial acts in criminal matters;
- supervision of the lawfulness of the execution of criminal sentences and the detention of people in pre-trial detention centers and guardhouses;
- analysis of judicial practice in criminal matters and the state of law in the field of criminal penalties;
- analysis and coordination of the work of subordinate prosecutor's offices in maintaining state prosecution and participation in criminal courts of appeal;
- participation in the development of draft laws and other legal acts in the field of criminal policy, criminal justice and the execution of criminal penalties;
- rendering methodological and practical assistance to lower-level prosecutor's offices, developing and sending methodological recommendations to places, participating in scientific and educational activities.
