Tuberculosis patients did not receive social payments

The Shui inter-district Prosecutor's office conducted an audit of the activities of the local Executive body in the field of protecting the rights of persons with tuberculosis.

It turned out that the akimat of the district did not fully pay the patients during their treatment the monetary and social assistance provided by the legislation for more than one year.

The reason for this was the illegal decision of the district maslikhat of 21.12.2017 to determine monetary assistance to patients diagnosed with Tuberculosis in the amount of 10 thousand tenge for the period of 6-8 months for the 1st category and 8-10 months for the 2nd category.

According to the Prosecutor's office, the decision of the maslikhat was changed, the amount of social payment was increased by 2 times, from 10 thousand tenge to 21.8 thousand tenge, and the period of receiving social assistance was extended to 12 months.
