Protection of human rights to a fair trial, humane treatment and respect for dignity in the execution of criminal penalties and other measures of state coercion;
Promotion of uniform judicial practice and balanced criminal policy with priority for correction and re-socialization of convicted persons;
Identification and elimination of violations of the law, causes and conditions that contribute to them, as well as their consequences;
Supervision of the legality of legal acts that have entered into force in criminal cases;
Supervision of the legality of the execution of criminal penalties and the detention of persons in pre-trial detention centers and guardhouses;
Analysis of judicial practice in criminal cases and the state of legality in the sphere of execution of criminal penalties;
Analysis and coordination of the work of lower-level Prosecutor's offices in support of public prosecution and participation in courts of appeal in criminal cases;
Participation in the development of draft laws and other legal acts in the field of criminal policy, criminal proceedings and execution of criminal penalties;
Providing methodological and practical assistance to lower-level Prosecutor's offices, developing and sending methodological recommendations to the field, and participating in scientific and educational activities.
