On December 3, the Prosecutor's Office of the Pavlodar region held a meeting with representatives of the Akimat of the region, the Police Department, public associations and the Commissioner for Children's Rights. The results of inspections of orphanages and specialized institutions for children left without parental care are considered. The facts of systemic violations committed in the above-mentioned institutions, as well as long-term illegal actions committed against minors by their guardians, have been revealed. The work of the authorized bodies has been reviewed, an algorithm for specific preventive actions has been developed, and a number of organizational measures have been taken. The investigation of 11 criminal cases initiated by the Prosecutor's office of the region on the facts of torture, beatings and crimes against the sexual integrity of children has been taken under special control.
