The losses of the state from the ongoing serious disasters in the form of fires are currently very significant, with a tendency to further inexorable growth. Modern gas stations are particularly dangerous from this point of view. Most of Kazakhstan's gas stations are privately owned, so their safety depends on the owner's awareness of the importance of complying with fire safety rules.
Each of these objects must be taken into account when creating safety rules for modern stations, the rules of which provide for permissible fire-fighting distances between these structures.
Instructions on fire safety for such facilities should be clearly drawn up covering the entire range of work, affecting each of the employees, the territory of the gas station, as well as the behavior of drivers. Fire safety instructions have significant differences for modern stations of various types.
The developed fire-prevention rules on modern gas stations placed it is forbidden to:
* refueling of motor vehicles with the engine running;
* transport over underground fuel storage facilities;
* work with the risk of sparking;
* refueling of vehicles with passengers in the passenger compartment, except for passenger cars;
* refueling of vehicles carrying explosives and flammable combustible materials;
* arrival at the station of tractors without installed spark arresters when working with stored fuel;
* repairs that are not in any way related to Troubleshooting the gas station buildings located.
Refueling of vehicles is carried out in compliance with the following important rules:
* cars must be driven on their own;
* contaminated areas from fuel and oil products on the transport surface must be wiped dry before refueling;
* oil products spilled on the ground are immediately sprinkled with sand, which is then collected and taken out of the station;
* cars in the queue for filling up should be positioned at least 1 meter apart.
