The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund warns of a new fraudulent scheme. There have been isolated cases of calls from unidentified persons posing as employees of UAPF JSC, who are asking to top up a certain bank account in order to unlock the contribuor's pension account. The pension account, according to the callers, will allegedly be used for payments from foreign banks to pay compensation for legal proceedings. In case of refusal to transfer the funds, the pension account will allegedly remain blocked.
UAPF warns that such calls do not come from UAPF employees, and in case of receiving such calls, it is strongly requested to interrupt the conversation (!). We also remind you of the following points:
- according to Clause 3 of Art. 50 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On pension provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Law) the imposition of an arrest or the application of a levy, including on pension savings due to the debts of the contributor (beneficiary), is not allowed.
- in accordance with paragraph 14) of Art. 98 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On executive production and the status of judicial executors, recovery cannot be applied to pension savings due to the debts of the contributor (beneficiary).
Thus, pension savings available in your individual pension saving account cannot be subject to enforcement by a bailiff or any third party.
Your individual pension saving account cannot be blocked under any circumstances!
