On December 15, Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted regional competitions in fire and rescue sports dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. More than 100 athletes from East Kazakhstan, Abai region, Zhetysu and Shymkent city competed for victory at the sports arena of the East Kazakhstan region.
Men, women and boys competed in two disciplines: overcoming a 100-meter obstacle course and climbing an assault ladder. The youth national team of East Kazakhstan Region included 10 pupils from the sports section of the fire and rescue sports Center "Young Rescuer" of KSU "SHTDO №29".
As a result of a hard struggle, young rescuers from Ust-Kamenogorsk took almost all the prizes.

From 3.01.24 - 5.01.24, workshops for the "School Reserve of Senior personnel of educational organizations of East Kazakhstan region" were held on the basis of KSU "Lyceum School No. 34" of the Department of Education in Ust-Kamenogorsk of the Department of Education of East Kazakhstan region.
On the first day of the seminar, the participants, under the guidance of the director of Lyceum school No. 34, Olga Ananishnikova, clarified the concepts: management, leader, delegation. They were able to answer the questions: "What is the role of the head in the formation of a modern school? How to manage a teaching staff?" Working in groups, the seminar participants identified the qualities of an effective leader.
Nadezhda Petrovna Samambetova, Deputy Director for IT Technologies, spoke about the importance of developing the ICT competence of a modern school head. Future managers not only got acquainted with new programs, but also completed practical tasks using the following programs: kvestodel, anketolog, Tarsia, Corinth, BlogNils, prepared a presentation using the Gamma program.
4.01.24 Deputy Director for OER Kairbekova E.M. shared the experience of the methodological service in creating conditions for the interaction of all subjects of the educational process. When working together in groups, the seminar participants updated their knowledge about the specifics of organizing methodological work aimed at building the pedagogical potential of the school.
Tamara Barysheva presented the system of work of the subject-methodical commission of the GEC in the context of digitalization and integration. And also one of the areas of work is cooperation with universities. This ensures the continuity and continuity of secondary and higher education, increases the educational level of students and expands the range of personal development.
Educational psychologists, Vasilyeva Galina Dmitrievna and Alibekova Ayana Beinbekovna, conducted a training on the topic: "Psychology of management". The main purpose of the training is the formation of managerial culture, the development of psychological and pedagogical competence.
5.01.23 Kiryanova Lilya Yuryevna, Deputy Director for Internal Affairs, spoke about the basic principles of compiling the HSE, how to formulate management decisions correctly. Davydenko Svetlana Pavlovna, Deputy Director for Internal Affairs, focused on the preparation of working curricula, the program used for the lesson schedule. Larisa Andreevna Shevnina, Deputy Director for Internal Affairs, presented a system for the development of giftedness, told about the traditional Day of Science at the lyceum.
On the next day of the winter holidays, the entertainment and game program "The Forgotten City" was held for high school students at the Palace of Creativity of Schoolchildren. Participants had the opportunity to plunge into the incredible atmosphere of the fabulous city of Torgovland.
During the tests, team members received magic tokens, the number of which depended on the success of the tasks.
This adventure allowed the children to feel like real explorers and fully immerse themselves in the mysterious world of a fabulous city.
On January 4, 2024, a master class for teachers of additional education was held on the basis of the KGKP "Stations of Young Technicians" of the Public Educational Institution in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk in the framework of the city methodological association of the Department of Decorative and applied arts. It was conducted by the teacher of additional education of the KGKP "Children's Art School "Zhuldyz" Kokushinskaya Larisa Dmitrievna.
The theme of the master class is "Working with junk material. Production, the traditional doll "Stolbushka" Was attended by 18 teachers.
The purpose of this event is to improve the professional skills of teachers in the process of active pedagogical communication on the development of folk decorative and applied art.

A game program "Auction of Miracles" was held for primary school age. During the game, the children completed various tasks, receiving special points for this. And at the end of the program, the participants spent all their earned points, with the help of an auction, on various design elements for a Christmas tree. Competing in the colorfulness and creativity of Christmas decorations, the children were able to once again feel the pleasant emotions of celebrating the New Year!

The New Year's matinee took place on December 27, 2023 at KSU "School-Center for Additional Education №19", which was attended by younger schoolchildren, including children with special educational needs. The head of the education department of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Alaguzova Saule Baurzhanovna, came to congratulate the children. She wished the children good health, academic achievements and presented gifts from Santa Claus.

Students of KSU "Secondary School №23 named after M.Shayakhmetov” visited the museum of JSC Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Combine. The tour was conducted in order to get acquainted with the history of the city-forming enterprise JSC “UK TMK" and early career guidance.
