A letter was sent to the mail of the Zhambyl Region Police Department in which a resident of Taraz thanks the police officer who saved her son’s life.
According to the woman, she and her 11-year-old son were driving home from school along Tauke Khan Street, when suddenly the child began to choke. When they stopped in front of a car dealership, the child was already unconscious.
“I was very scared for my son’s life, I started screaming, my whole life immediately flashed before my eyes. A man immediately ran up to my screams and gave my boy first aid until the ambulance arrived. I am very grateful to him, he saved my son’s life. After a while, I found out that it was a police officer,” the woman wrote.
The child was urgently hospitalized, and now his life is no longer in danger. It later turned out that the boy’s high body temperature caused his tongue to stick into his throat, causing him to be unable to breathe.
The policeman who saved the child turned out to be the senior inspector for special assignments of the Headquarters of the Police Department of the Zhambyl Region, police major Askhat Kuandykov, who modestly remained silent about his action.
-I would like to express my deep gratitude to Askhat! If it weren't for him, my son could have died. I wish him success in his work! – the woman wrote.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of the Kordai District Bakyt Sakhatov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kordai District Aidos Tobyshakov, and veterans.
The new facility has 24-hour video surveillance inside and outside. The room is equipped with a computer, landline telephone, and panic button.
The patrol police officer and the local police inspector have video recorders and tablets.
On this day, the keys to 2 official vehicles were also presented to patrol police officers.
- As part of the transition to a service model of work, we have been given the task of ensuring accessibility, efficiency, mobility, and strengthening interaction with the population on any issues of assistance. A stationary post in the region bordering the Kyrgyz Republic will allow us to intensify work on crime prevention and ensure the principle of “police within walking distance,” noted the head of the Kordai ROP Alimkhan Karymsakov.
