On August 1, 2025, the Department of Electronic and Exchange Trading of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the business community, discussed the draft national standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Fulfillment Centers in the field of electronic commerce" at the Atameken NPP.
Against the background of the rapid growth of e-commerce and the increase in online sales, the development of modern logistics infrastructure is of particular importance. The availability of effective logistics solutions is becoming a strategically important element for the sustainable operation of marketplaces and online stores, as well as for providing high-quality service to consumers.
As part of the implementation of the National Standardization Plan until 2025, by order of the Ministry of Trade, Kazstandart has developed a draft standard aimed at systematization and development of fulfillment services in the country. The document covers key areas such as logistics, warehousing, order processing, packaging, delivery, sales, as well as related services in electronic commerce.
The draft standard is intended to establish uniform requirements for the organization and operation of fulfillment centers, thereby contributing to increased transparency, standardization of processes and simplification of interaction between all participants in the e-commerce market.
The proposed standard is focused on the needs of online stores, marketplaces, as well as small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of e-commerce, and is intended to be an important step towards the formation of a sustainable, competitive and technologically advanced digital commerce infrastructure in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
