Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the North Kazakhstan region and met with farmers. The latter at a meeting with him voiced urgent questions, writes agrotime.kz .
So, for example, Kintal Islamov, Chairman of the Management Board of Atameken Agro JSC, spoke about the problem of transportation of manufactured products that they face every year. According to him, there is a demand for the product, it is in stock, but they cannot deliver it. In this regard, difficulties arise. Preparations for spring field work have already begun in the region, funds are required to purchase fertilizers. Since the wagons arrive untimely, they cannot receive the money on time. There are contracts with companies from Europe. Due to the inability to deliver the goods to them on time, fines of up to $ 1 million are imposed. In addition, there is a problem with sunflower. It has been cultivated in the region recently. Now, instead of popularizing, export bans are in effect. Therefore, he proposes to abandon quotas.
Sergey Zvolsky, the head of Astyk Stem LLP, spoke about the problems with irrigation. Since 2010, the company has been engaged in drip irrigation, has increased the area under irrigated crops from twenty to two hundred and fifty hectares. A small area does not allow you to achieve high results. There is a limitation of water resources: it is impossible to take water in the amount that is required. If you consume it from wells of more than 50 cubic meters per day, then it is no longer water, but a mineral for which expensive research should be done. He suggests distributing the volume of water not by day, but by year. So, for example, Astyk Stem LLP conducts watering three months a year.
Yerlan Alpysayev, Chairman of the Farmers' Union, raised issues of the quality and volume of diesel fuel at low prices. Every year, farmers are given cheaper fuel for the spring and autumn campaigns. Meanwhile, they do not provide it for plowing of fumes, harvesting of fodder, removal of organic matter from the field, etc. 80% of the fuel is supplied from the Atyrau oil Refinery, and it is expensive to transport and not "frost-resistant" (at temperatures below zero it freezes). Therefore, it would be possible to consider the issue of its provision with the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant.
