Farmers have said more than once that there is a catastrophic shortage of milk in Kazakhstan. The reason was called meager state support for the industry. As it became known, in 2023, several hundred billion tenge will be allocated from the republican budget to increase milk production. The funds will be directed mainly to large dairy farms. The support will also cover poultry farmers, APK Novosti agency reports.
“In Kazakhstan, in 2023, after clarification of the republican budget, it is planned to allocate about 400 billion tenge to increase milk production at large-scale dairy farms, as well as chicken meat,” the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
Funds to increase production will be targeted.
The recipients of state subsidies will be experienced producers who have high labor productivity and traceability of the turnover of goods. At the same time, the supply of all products to the domestic market will become a mandatory requirement.
As reported, the state decided to move away from financing retail chains under revolving schemes and will now finance directly manufacturers.
