Food producers have been traditionally active by industry this year. Most of them are butter, flour, bakery products, flour, confectionery, pasta, drinking water and beverages, fish processing companies and others. 229 applications were approved for a total amount of 3.7 billion tenge for exporting companies providing the agricultural sector.
Of all the types of costs to be reimbursed, the greatest demand among exporters remains the delivery of goods by rail. The largest number of approved applications is in Kostanay region, Almaty city, Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar regions and Shymkent.
Small and medium-sized businesses, which reimbursed part of the costs in 2022, mainly export finished products to nearby countries. Of these, 17.8% of Kazakhstan's goods are sent to Uzbekistan, 16.1% of exports are to Russia, followed by Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to these five, domestic companies export products to European countries, as well as to the UAE, Canada, the USA and many other foreign countries.
In December 2022, amendments to the Rules for Reimbursing Exporters for part of the costs were approved. 1146 items have been returned to the list of goods whose export costs are subject to reimbursement. Among them are flour, meat, salt and others. The return mainly affected the lower redistribution positions.
"In 2022, a lot of work was done with applications for repayment both under the program and in the amount. Next year there are no less ambitious tasks. First of all, it is necessary to complete the process of reviewing applications for 2022. This is about 300 applications for 7 billion tenge. A decision was made on this issue and the necessary funds are provided in the budget. Secondly, the issue of announcing a new acceptance of applications is being worked out. QazTrade certainly believes in the activity of our exporters", - said Nuraly Bukeikhanov, CEO of QazTrade.
He also noted that next year QazTrade, as an operator of state measures to support exporters, together with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will continue to work on optimizing and improving the efficiency of the cost recovery process.
In total, in 2022, QazTrade-UE received a total of 621 applications from 259 exporting companies.
