«Zhas Sarbaz» Children and youth military-Patriotic movement

In order to improve the military-Patriotic education of military personnel, as well as pre – conscription youth, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy opened the national military-Patriotic center of the Armed Forces in Astana in 2015, which became the coordinating body for military-Patriotic education of military personnel and pre-conscription youth.

Pursuant to the instructions of the President about strengthening of military-Patriotic education among students and young people, including through the establishment of regional branches of the national youth military-Patriotic public movement "Zhas Sarbaz", the Ministry of defense jointly with other state bodies created by the Republican public Association "youth military-Patriotic movement "Zhas Sarbaz".

The Charter of the movement "Zhas Sarbaz" was approved at the General meeting of founders and registered in the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 14, 2018.

On November 30, 2018, when visiting the National military-Patriotic center of the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and meeting with young patriots, Elbasy launched the further development of the military-Patriotic movement, the creation of branches of the "Zhas Sarbaz" movement in the regions.

Currently, branches of the movement "Zhas Sarbaz" have opened in all regions of the country, as reported by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan At the youth Forum.

The movement's logo was developed, the young patriot's uniform was sewn, image products were released, and the texts of the anthem and the solemn oath of the students who join the movement were approved.

Thanks to the activities of the movement, the number of military-Patriotic clubs has increased to 6,198 this year, and the coverage has reached 179,224 children.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the country – the Supreme Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, work is underway to create smart-SARBAZ circles on the basis of the Zhas Sarbaz movement.

In order to create opportunities for students to present their high results of educational activities in the field of scientific and technical creativity, with the beginning of the new academic year, 95 "SMART-SARBAZ" circles were created in the military-Patriotic clubs of the "Zhas Sarbaz" movement, created at the Republican schools "Zhas Ulan", as well as at technical colleges and specialized schools with a physical and mathematical bias.

The creation of "SMART-SARBAZ" circles allowed us to develop common views and approaches to military-Patriotic education of young people through the development of scientific and technical progress, education of specialists who are able to create their own technological solutions
and teach the younger generation to "transform innovative ideas into virtual reality".

Memoranda on interaction and cooperation with the military-Patriotic movement "Yunarmiya" (Russian Federation), akims of Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Karaganda regions, Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent were signed.

Every year, final and reporting forums, field sessions and public hearings on military-Patriotic education, training and methodological fees are held.

Over the past two years, the Zhas Sarbaz movement, together with other state bodies and public organizations, has carried out about 1,000 different events on the national scale for the military-Patriotic education of young people, covering more than 110,000 people.

The largest of all the events held is the annual military-Patriotic gathering "aybin". More than 2000 clubs with coverage of more than 55,000 children take part in district, city, and regional selection rounds, which determine the best military-Patriotic clubs. Over the past three years, 3110 children took part in the final stage of the military-Patriotic gathering "aybin".

In 2017, the collection was held in an International format. The gathering was attended by the military-Patriotic club of the movement "Yunarmiya" of the Russian Federation and observers from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In 2018, the military Patriotic gathering was attended for the first time by military Patriotic clubs established at military units and institutions of the Armed Forces, as well as the Border service and the National guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2019, 646 participants from all regions of the country took part in the fifth anniversary military-Patriotic gathering. During the collection, ideological work was carried out to educate young people in the spirit of Kazakh patriotism, to form the younger generation of high Patriotic feelings and moral qualities of a citizen of the country, ready to defend the Fatherland, competitions in military-applied sports and combat training, military-field tactical game, exhibition of military equipment, models of aircraft, ships, military equipment made by military-Patriotic clubs, exhibits of search groups, competitions "IQKazaqstan", "aybin daryny", "aybin Dauysy", "my robot», evening around the fire "aybin zhalyny" and cultural and leisure activities.

The opening of the Military-Patriotic gathering was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Tokayev K. K., heads of Central state bodies and Deputy governors of regions, heads of public organizations and the "Nur Otan" party, deputies of the Senate of the Parliament, representatives of the Presidential Administration, state and local Executive bodies and public organizations.

During the gathering, the Head of state together with the students of the movement "Zhas Sarbaz" laid a time capsule "Uly Dala Zhas Sarbazy-2050".

In forming the image of a young patriot, a special place belongs to the annual Republican festival of Patriotic songs "Zhas Sarbaz". Last year, more than 3000 students took part in the qualifying stages of the festival from all regions of the country, and 356 young performers took part in the final of the festival, which was held in Astana.

Since 2017, during the summer holidays, a military-Patriotic children's recreation camp has been organized for children of military personnel. Over three years, more than 1,000 children from remote garrisons have rested in the camp, where they were given Patriotic education.

On a traditional basis, various military-Patriotic actions, competitions, quizzes, military field games, and paramilitary relays are held.
