Every year, Army hand-to-hand combat (AHC) is gaining popularity in the world. This martial art combines several progressive types with universal contact elements. In other words, Army hand-to-hand combat is a set of techniques designed simultaneously for both defense and attack. Today, it has gone beyond the purely military sport cultivated in army formations.

AHC took shape as a military-applied sport in 1979, when the first championship of the USSR Airborne troops was held. The competition became an annual event. AHC is included in the physical training of novice warriors. For young fighters, it is attractive for its accessibility and combination of elements of several martial arts-Boxing, judo, Sambo, wrestling, and others.
Sports AHC differs from other martial arts in that it allows you to finish off a lying opponent with your hands, feet, standing and head to head.
The rules of AHC are somewhat similar to judo. The match is held on a tatami Mat and consists of one round lasting three minutes. It is controlled and evaluated by a judge.
The task of the fighter is to send the opponent to a knockdown or knockout, to finish the fight ahead of time. Points are awarded for strikes. Kick on the leg, hand on the body – 1 point. For a kick to the body, a hand to the head, or a throw with both feet off the Mat, the fighter gets 2 points. The highest number – 3 points the judge gives for a kick to the head, a knockdown or a sharp amplitude throw.
AHC competitions, like other martial arts, are held in various age and weight categories. This sport has its own "table of ranks". First category-3rd Junior, honorary title-master of sports of international class.

At the competition, fighters wear a certain outfit. These are kimonos (dobok and Dogi), wrestling boots, Shin pads, groin shell, protective vest, gauntlets, knee, forearm and elbow protection. A fighter will not be allowed to fight without a helmet with a metal grating, and the bars must be connected to each other by argon welding, otherwise the athlete may get seriously injured. Protective clothing with the exception of gloves and a helmet is worn under a kimono.
AHC is a full-contact sport where warriors who have excellent techniques of punches, kicks and head kicks win. And if you add to this honed wrestling technique and skillful use of painful techniques, such a fighter will become simply invincible. This is evidenced by the facts of real combat clashes with the enemy.
However, not all athletes come to understand that AHC is a symbiosis of various types of equipment. Hence-the schematic division of fighters - into "fighters" - those who are good at technique, and - "strikers" - counting on the accuracy and strength of the blow. Practice shows that karate players, boxers, kickboxers can take the initiative at a certain distance. In the middle or near distance, the advantage goes to the"wrestlers". In order to become a successful fighter, you need to be both a "fighter"and a "striker".
