Political cooperation
President Nursultan Nazarbayev paid an official visit to Norway on April 2-4, 2001.
Prime Minister of Norway Kjell Magne Bondevik visited Kazakhstan on May 25-26, 2004.
Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visited Kazakhstan in 2010.
There is a mechanism of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Norway. The 3rd round was held in 2020 in the online format.
Trade and economic cooperation
In 2023, bilateral trade reached $124 million (export – 2.9 million, import – 121 million); in 2022 – $117 million.
The inflows of foreign direct investment from Norway to Kazakhstan reached $1.6 billion between 2005 and the 3rd quarter of 2023.
