Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Singapore

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singapore were established on March 30, 1993. Diplomatic Mission of Kazakhstan was set up in Singapore in November 2003, since December 2008 it operates as an Embassy.

On October 21, 2022 Kuttykadam Askar was appointed as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore. 

On June 16, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore Askar Kuttykadam was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Commonwealth of Australia, New Zealand concurrently.

Mr. Zulkifli bin Baharudin was designated as a non-resident Ambassador of Republic of Singapore to Kazakhstan since May 28, 2014.

The Embassy operates within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and represents the interests of Kazakhstan in Singapore.

The Embassy fulfils the following main functions:

- provision of National interests and implementation of Kazakhstan's foreign policy course in Singapore;

- protection of the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of Kazakhstan in Singapore;

- development of co-operation of Kazakhstan with Singapore, assistance for state bodies and public organisations, as well as representatives of business communities in establishing contacts and developing relations with Singapore;

- participation at the preparation of the international agreements of Kazakhstan with Singapore and proposals on signing, fulfilling and terminating the agreements, as well as establishing control over the fulfilment of the agreements between the two countries;

- consular issues;

- other issues.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Singapore also represents Australia and New Zealand.
